The BrainAdvantage team in Scottsdale is diverse, expert and complementary. The BrainAdvantage staff brings substantial medical, neurotherapeutic, educational, technical, and subject matter expertise.
- Stephanie Reese, PhD
Dr. Reese has a PhD in Cognitive Science and Technologies. She is a former educator and author and has 20 years experience in radiology and nuclear medicine. She is certified in HEG Neurofeedback, audio/visual entrainment, Interactive metronome, auditory retraining, and a certified provider for Interactive Metronome, Advanced Brain Technology's The Listening Program and Mind Alive.
She has been researching and using neurotechnologies for 7 years.
- Andrew Reese
Andrew Reese serves as General Manager. Mr. Reese has a BS in Economics and a JD from Harvard Law. He is experienced in law, technology management, has extensive experience in software development, interface design, technical and marketing communications, and business operations.
- Martha M. Grout, MD, MD(H)
Dr. Grout has AB from Radcliffe College (Harvard University), an MD from Medical College of Pennsylvania. She is Licensed in Arizona, Florida and Hawaii.
She got her Homeopathic license in Arizona, and is Board Certified in Medical Acupuncture. She is a member of the Arizona State Board of Homeopathic and Integrated Medicine Examiners.
She is a respected physician in Scottsdale, AZ. and specializes in a combination of allopathic and homeopathic medicine to treat autism, AD/HD, food and environmental allergies and toxins as well as memory and cognitive deficits.
- Steven Swerdfeger, PhD, CH
Dr. Swerdfeger is a consulting Hypnotist for BrainAdvantage. Dr. Swerdfeger uses his unique talents to help patients with physical and emotional problems, including, phobias and fears, stress
and to enhancement abilities.
- Sylvia Fountekis, MA,
Ms. Fountekis is a Certified Special Education Teacher (K-8, Cross Categorical) in the State of Arizona. She is also a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the State of Washington and
and is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist license (M.F.T.) in the State of California. She is also a National Certified Counselor (NCC) with The National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC).
She is a Clinical Member of both The American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT) and the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT). She also has a Lifetime Community College Teaching Credential for Special Education in the State of California.
Our Founders
Donald Barrett serves as Chairman and Managing Member. Mr. Barrett has a BS in Computer Science and an MBA. He is a former CEO of computer and telecommunication system integration companies.
